About KLM Airlines
KLM or Royal Dutch Airlines was once the national airline of the Netherlands before their merger with Air France. KLM Airlines is currently the oldest airline carrier in the world. KLM Airlines is the main airline carrier for France and the Netherlands. Their airline hub and their main base of operations is based out of the Schiphol Airport which is near Amsterdam.

In May 2004 the company was taken over by Air France which created the company of Air France-KLM. In terms of operating revenues, Air France-KLM is the largest airline in the world today and is the third larger airline carrier in the world, although in Europe it is the largest airline carrier. The company is a part of the SkyTeam alliance which also includes the airline carriers Delta Air Lines, Aeromexico, Korean Air, Czech Airlines, Alitalia, Northwest Airlines, Aeroflot and Continental Airlines. Despite the merger both Air France and KLM Airline operate under their own individual brand names.

Types Of Services Offered by KLM Airlines: -
KLM Airlines offers both Business and Economy class cabins on their flights. During short flights their Economy class is referred to as Europe Select and on long flight their Business class is referred to as World Business Class.

KLM World Business Class: -
On long distance flights KLM Airlines World Business Class features a television monitor, email and text messaging, privacy canopies, massage treatments and power ports for laptops. The personal televisions on World Business Class flights has twelve channels with video and twelve channels with audio. Each seat also has individual reading lamps, leg and foot rests, along with personal telephones.

World Business Class also comes with several benefits before the flight departs. This include a flexible reservation before flights, separate check in desks, access to airport lounges, priority boarding and a hundred and fifty percent Flying Blue miles. While in flight World Business Class passengers get three course meals with menu service, beverages before flight and snacks available during the entire flight.

KLM Economy Class Europe Select: -
For short distance flights KLM Airlines offers a Europe Select Economy class option. These tickets include a on board meal service which can be either hot or cold depending on how long the flight it, priority boarding, extra baggage allowance, double Flying Blue miles and flexible booking options.
