About Northwest Airlines
The headquarters of Northwest Airline is in Eagan, Minnesota. They are one of the five largest airlines in the United States. The three major hubs of Northwest Airline are at Detroit, Minneapolis and Memphis. They also offer flights to Asia and transatlantic flights to Amsterdam through their partner company KLM Airlines. Northwest Airline Fleet: - Currently Northwest Airline is undergoing a major fleet renewal program. In 2003 this program was started with a new pain scheme and logo for the company that were simplified. The company is now in the process of upgrading to newer aircraft from their older DC-10 and 747 fleet. Their new fleet will consist of the Airbus A330 and Boeing 787. In addition, Northwest Airline operates NWA Cargo which is the largest cargo carrier in the United States as of 2006. The fleet offers a combination of passenger and cargo aircraft. The fleet consists of fourteen 747 freighter aircraft that fly throughout the United States and to Asia and the companies cargo hub in Anchorage, Alaska.

Northwest Airline Cabin Options: -
Northwest Airline offers four different types of cabin options when your purchase their tickets. Their World Business Class cabins are similar to their first class cabins on international flights. Passengers in these cabins receive meal service, refreshments and alcohol. Each individual seat has its own in flight entertainment system, power-ports, reading lights, folding work table and a cocktail table. On domestic flights Northwest Airline offers first class cabins. These seats are over nineteen to twenty-one inches wide and have extra leg room. Passengers in this cabin get meal service, refreshments and alcohol. Northwest Airline has two types of economy class cabins, one for international flights and one for domestic flights. On international economy cabins passengers get meal service, refreshments and a mid-flight snack. Trans-atlantic flights get complementary alcohol and other international flights have alcohol for a five dollar charge. For domestic economy class cabins passengers get drinks but have to purchase their snack boxes, sandwiches and light snacks. Alcohol is also offered for a five dollar charge. Northwest Airline Lounge: - The Northwest Airline member lounge is WorldClubs. People who are a member will also have access to SkyTeam carrier lounges with companies such as Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines and Air France. In domestic locations you can get complimentary alcohol at WorldClubs lounges. You can get a lifetime members in this program for a little over four thousand dollars. |
